yeah its RWD, tyre cooking fun!
i got a Minispool and 3.45s gear ratio

thats not what the car looks like stock :P
i got the Group A bodykit on it (they raced them over here)

the cars pretty light at 1300kg kerb weight

yeah the entire setup has been done by me except the welding as i suck at welding hhehehe

Over here we have our 2 main car rivals

Holden.. and Ford...
both with models you'll never see.. altho i believe we export our GTO monaro and you call it a Pontiac GTO? same car that was designed over here

the only car out of the "commodore" range was the 1987-1988 VL Calais Turbo, it used a RB30DET and only ran 3 psi stock.. my mate just put a RB30 in his car (same as mine) with a Garret GT40 in it... it runs 9s

good thing about this car is over here we have 3 liceneces... and we have to display plates to drive otherwise we get fined, 1. [L]earner Plates yellow with black writing, have to have a full licence driver in the car with you at all times, 2. [P]robationary Licence which i am, you are limited to 125kw per 1 tonne and can only get this when your 18,

the good thing is no one expects this car to be turbo so cops barely ask u to pop the hood
stupid christmas or id have more done!

Something just came to mind, i dont know if you guys have it over there but here we have what we call Dosing,

its what happens when you run no BOV and lotsa boost with a pod filter

turbo spools down backwards as the air escapes due to the closed throttle (very bad for the turbo )

makes a found like PFFFFT-TUU-TUU--TUU

anyway i was looking for a valve to run on the vac line for the bov, saw the boost controller and its exacltly what i was lookin at...

anyway should be funny till i snap the shaft of my turbo, but thats the idea to beable to turn it off.. most people do it round here and wonder why they blow their turbo's up

We call it compressor surge. Too much flow from the turbo causing pressure waves to bounce back and forth from the throttle plate and the compressor wheel.

haha those were the cruizin days, now its all about goin fast!!!

heres a update on my progress,
Monza 90deg silicon bend for the throttle elbow,
more welding done
got my 3" ---> 2.25" silicon adaptor for the intercooler and 2" ---> 2.25" adaptor for the turbo

so that the intercooler fills up quickly and hence gives me more cool air into the engine as it has time to cool down im using 2.25" piping off the 2" turbo outlet to keep up the air velocity then switching to 3" after the cooler this gives the air in the cooler more time to cool down

should go hard ill find you a video of one of these engines running 20psi on a stock bottom end with a home made setup, sounds insane

found another video, this is V6 Vengence,

it was in a magazine over here REALLY popular, they took a junk yard car... dumped $20,000 into it and made it run 10s eventually everything documented, it was the original V6 turbo
