so its an ugly 94 eclipse, i kinda got the car on a trade. i've been building custom turbo kits for a coule of years now. i always find, or trade, or buy a car then turbo it. its just this little nic i have i wish i could get rid of since i always waste more money then what i ever get back. lol.

so the project isnt for huge hp numbers or anything crazy. just a little boost(7psi) to help scoot me around town, the turbo i am using is a garrett off a ca18det nissan s13. the AR on the turbo is .48/.49. Since it came off a 1.8 and it is more of a smaller sized turbo i think it will lead to pretty good boost responce and be a quick little spooler. you cant beat a rebuilt turbo for $90, and since the max hp of the 1.8 is at 5k i wont have to worry about the turbo falling on its face in the top end since there really isnt any lol

For the intercooler i will be using the one off a sr20det motor. you may be asking yourself why all this nissan stuff, the answer is really easy EBAY. i got the intercooler for 1.99 and 20.00 shipping which made for a good deal so i said what the hell, and after doing some reasearch heard they have been rumored to out flow the dsm and handle over 300hp which is very far away from anything i'll ever be at so were all good there.

the manifold i'm using is one i hade made for me i just went to the parts store and had them get me a exhust manifold gasket and the i took that to the welding shop and said make me a flange that looks like this he did then i had him put runners on it then made a sweet collector for it over all it seems that it will work good but i guess we will see............

ok here are a couple pics of the manifold it aint the prettiest thing in the world but it will work, i know becouse i've made worse work lol. i'll be finishing it up this week i got one side to still weld. probly going to go get some high temp paint today too, just to make it slightly less ugly

I have the same car as my daily driver, was thinking of boosting it but I am just gonna junk it as soon as I find a 91 civic or crx for $500 or less.
but keep us posted, it might change my mind on mine
