Default 11 sec EF civic, help me get there!!

Hey guys i'm buying back my frist car!!! 91 Civic Si.. has a ZC in it with a bad head.. figure i'll get a head and roll on that till it blows.. what would be the compression of a mini-me head swap a6/z6 with lower comp pistions? or should i just change over to obd-1 and get the complete d16z6 motor. my goal is 11 seconds in the quarter... seen it done with fully built d16z6 in an EG with SC-61 at 15psi.. looking at getting either a 50 trim or 60 trim turbo.. will it get me there?

also is block posting necessary? i would assume so if i don't get sleeves..

Just stick with a d16z6. I wouldn't bother with an a6/z6 combo, those were mostly done years ago to bump up compression and get that extra oomph from vtec. And since you're going to lower your c/r anyway with aftermarket pistons, why waste the time. Probably would be better to convert to obd1 while you're at it for more tuning options later on with your ecu. Obd0 can do what you're asking, but it has it's limitations. Be prepared for antagonizingly late spool times too if you run an sc-61 on a z6 too, and most definately get a good traction bar setup.

what makes you think the head is blown? plus just do an a6 ---- that vtec nonsense just more trouble. keep it simple and solid and you can get into 11s.

ah i see that sucks. boosted zc with pistons and rods would get you 11s with a well put together turbo setup.
