1990 Turbo Probe Boost Issue

Re: 1990 Turbo Probe Boost Issue
I had a NA probe I got for $50, what a heavy pig it was. I kinda felt like Michael Knight, with the 50 *****/dials and digital dash. :P
The problem I would see is the air bypassing the injector seals is already metered, meaning it adds fuel for that air regardless of it leaking. With the unburnt fuel & soot that rich mixture creates will plug your cat in no time.
Overly rich = loss of power, plugged cat
Plugged cat = high exhaust backpressure
High exhaust backpressure = turbo won't want to spin
Also, if any of that fuel burns *after* it passes the turbine (it will usually ignite a bit before the exhaust pipe's end), it will create additional backpressure on that side of the turbine. Very counterproductive.
