1990 Turbo Probe Boost Issue

i have a 90 probe gt with a wierd boost issue. it will only build 8psi no matter what i do i have tried 2 MBC, 2 bov,and had 2 diff turbos on the car so its not the internal gate or acuator. and even when i take off the line on the MBC going to the acuator so i can run as much boost as it wants it will only see 8psi again. it also sounds like its compressor surging? i did a boost leak test and all my pressure was leaking out of the injector seats but when the car is running my vacuum pulls them and they wont leak. i even tried a spare ecu and mass air (vaf).. still nothing im so lost? any help would be great

Eh. Thats part of your problem. Replace those injector seals.

I cant help but think that if you still have a cat on your car, it may be clogged.

when i had my turbo probe stock minus the boost controller. there was no way to go over 10 lbs and it would drop to 6lbs at red line. so i made a 2.5" dp and took off the exhaust and i was running 18 lbs all day.... so that would be my first thing to look at, the cat being clogged.

oh and my cat was on the dp, so idk where yours is... just fyi.

You didnt have a turbo probe then. No 1st gen probe has the cat on the dp. Also you wernt running 18lbs with just open dp. Even if somehow the turbo would magically boost 18lbs from the stock 9 with just a open dp boost cut kicks in at 12lbs.
