D-series benefit a whole lot from good port work simply because they have economy ports that try to keep the fuel homogenized and the velocity even at all rpm, i.e. not made to flow as much air as you'd want to flow through it.

D-series + Good port + cam = much better engine.

Last one is the best.

That's the one that helped us out when I did my first port job on this 16v VW head.

I thought they were all pretty decent they all have okay tips in them. I just need to get off my lazy *** and actually go do it. Well more like free up some time from my busy schedule and do it. I also plan on port matching the throttle body, intake manifold, and header. I'm thinking that will help a little also. It all adds up in the end.
