Here you just jump in on whatever the entire group is doing that semister. Which is gmaw now & gtaw later this semister. No worries fysh. Took me ALOT of practice to get my first couple of T joints down. Maybe not so many days, but lots & lots of hours!

You think doing groove welds is fun. Wait till you do it on pipe! LoL! Fun ----! Lotta people find walking the cup easier on groove welds like that. I'm not looking forward to doing gtaw vertical up & down, or out of position. My plan is to bring tons of scrap home & practice 10-12 hours a day.



One thing that helped me is to GET COMFORTABLE! If you have too get you some scrap & weld the ---- to your booth so you can lean against it. That way you don't wiggle around as much.

Go to harbor freight and buy flux welder and a nice helmet
buy a bunch of steel


start playing


if you can learn to make flux work anything is easy after
