Thanks guys,
during inspection I found this:
D'oh. I had some ping on accel as the motor was coming on to boost that i carelessly ignored. LOL.
Anyways not 100% sure that's the issue, it's pretty minor, but nonetheless i think I'll just mothball this thing and build a motor over the winter and try to get the interior back in it, etc.
