Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I am trying to build an exhaust for my car and had a question about the original formula.
I follow all the math, but am lost as to where the angle of 11* comes from? Wasn't the angle 12 when you divide the bend angle/2x5?
L = 2.288"
Angle = 11 degrees

Now you need to cut 5 of these -> \____/ with the top part measuring 2.288" in length.

I meant 12 degrees, not 11. Mistypo.
