Re:Uberdata Support (OBD1) - Current Version: 1.65
after reading this thread i think im gonna give Uberdata a try...i just have a few questions.
1. is this free? someone said it was $200, but then i downloaded it for nothing. or is the chip burner $200??
2. Im getting an H23 prelude engine to put in my 92 accord EX. I guess im gonna use the P06 ECU. will this ECU power the H23 correctly?
3. if i can use the p06, what would I have to change, if anything, on the p06 rom file that is packaged with Uberdata?

Yes. It's free. Chip burners range in price from $60-$150

I don't know my H motors, is that VTEC? If it is, I wouldn't use a P06, but rather a P28. If it isn't VTEC, then it'll run it just fine. Put H23 stock maps on there, and begin tuning.

The fuel and timing maps, rev limits, things like that. Give them H23 characteristics, and it should run fine. You don't use the P06 ROM file that is packaged with Uberdata. Use the StockLS ROM, and put H23 maps on it, and run it on your P06 hardware. Hehe, Welcome to the world of OBD1... lots of code can run on lots of hardware. It's pretty much all the same stuff.

Re:Uberdata Support (OBD1) - Current Version: 1.65
thanks for the info. The H23 is the non-VTEC prelude engine. which is why i want to use that instead of the VTEC H22. (plus its a lot cheaper).
Im gonna have to figure out what numbers i need to input into the software...i have NO CLUE what any of that is...mabye i can find someone who has already done it...
