The problem is that the USB to Serial adapters driver is not loading like it should. It came with a disk with the drivers, but the laptop doesn't recognize them for some reason. Damn it! When I first plugged it into the laptop the dialog box said it was ready to go. Now it doesn't know what the hell it is.

 

Anything complex adds is better than your *** *** posting in a thread.

 

find some drivers for it. what Windows OS are you running?

 

did you unplug it, then plug it back in? i use a toughbook with my tactrix cable and i need to reinstall drivers every time i plug the cable in. annoying yes but it's a government issued laptop

 

---- that adapter, I've 3 hours tryin' to get that chinese made bullshit to work. I only bought it with the MS because diyautotune says it works. I went out to the garage and got the old radio shack adapter I used to use with my LM-1. But, now it say "connection timed out". DAMMMMMMMMMIT!!!!

 

That is the same adapter that I have. Haven't really had issues with it. Have you downloaded the drivers from the diyautotune site?

 

I have, but the computer doesn't seem to recognize them as drivers. I've moved beyond that cable because my radio shack cable is working. But now Hyperterminal gives me a "timed out" message.
