Stuck at step 40. MS-II V3.0

I've reached step 40, but can't get any further. I'm assembling a MS-II V3.0 and everything has gone smooth so far. It has passed all tests to this point. I'm pretty sure my problem is a lack of PC knowledge.

The files I've downloaded so far are:

ms2dl200_setup
Monitor_v2.888a.abs
megasquirt-II.ini.2.8

When I install and run the first program. It says this:

For pre-Extra MS-II:
1) Short the "B/LD" jumper on the MS-II board.
2) Power cycle MS-II.
3) File->Open.

I am choosing a file on the desktop called "Monitor_v2.888a.abs". Then I get a box that says the following:

MegaSquirt Download 2.00

Reading C:/Documents and Settings/Innovate Tuner/Desktop/Monitor_v2.888a.abs.s19:
Detected MS-II (HCS12) code.
Entry point: 0x0000
Code range : 0x4000-0x3db3e0
File read successfully.

Download failed:
Could not open comm port 1.
Exception caught: 2

I've gone into device manager and there is one port that says "USB Serial Port (COM1)". In port settings I have the following settings:

Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None

Here's what's in front of me

Anybody know what's going on here?

Serial to USB issues perhaps? What usb adapter is that?

Everything came from diyauottune. It has to be something with the PC but I'm a retard when it comes to that stuff. :1

I own two Macs because they WORK!

get ms1 v2.2 instructions and go to your communications port ---- for windows it tells you how to look for the port with hyperterminal (start > progs > accys > entertainment > hyperterminal OMG HT)

You need to configure your COM port correctly...

Bits per sec: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: none
Stop bit: 1
Flow control: none

Unless I missed something somewhere those settings are for MS-I. MS-II V3.0 uses 115200 bits per second.
