Default OBD2 -> OBD1 conversion HELP!!!

Ok, my last freakin idea.

My buddy was saying that on an Auto obd2 car, the IACV is a 4 wire, where as on an obd1 car it is a three wire, and that I would need to convert to complete the conversion. Im trying to run a chipped p06 with uberdata. Anyone else have this problem, and if you know about this, help me out PLEASE!!! I wanna drive my car...

block off the iacv, and run it. you'll get a cel, but the car will still run fine. easy solution so you can drive it until you get all the stuff for the iacv conversion. and i believe that the obd2 is a 3 wire, and the obd1 is a 2 wire.

obd2 auto is 3 wire, and obd1 is 2 wire. if you have a y7, i believe you have to swap out the whole intake mani for a y8 in order to do the conversion, however, this isn't your problem. if the iacv was your only problem, you would simply get a cel code 14 and the car would still run fine, it would just have a fluctuating idle.

I did the Y8 swap on my Y7. You have to have a Y8 manifold from a Stick car not an auto. Auto still had the TB mounted IAC valve. Then you have to do the 3 wire to 2 wire conversion.

dude, i honestly have no idea i'm seriously leaning towards that conversion harness, even though the dude said it tested fine. if the ecu's been tested good by two people (myself and chris), on at least 3 different cars (i tested it on two cars), and your car is fine with the stock ecu, that only leaves one other thing. are you sure you're getting a solid cel, have you tried to pull the codes? the car starts but runs like *** or what?

I tried pulling the codes, i got a solid cel. when i try starting it with the chipped ecu, all it did was crank, and nothing else. When i start it with the stock ecu, it will fire for about 5sec, but it fires....so im going to hook this ecu to my buddys civic and see, and we're gonna take his tuned ecu and hook it to my car...

Is your buddy's car auto or stick? It will throw a CEL with those resistors I put back in...

Eliminate the conversion harness as a variable or do you have to use the convo harness with his car too?
