well, i really got the idea from stan so that i wouldn't have to leave the cable in all the time. this was my first time soldering on an ecu, so i was a litte scared, but all in all, it turned out nice (now i just hope it works, i haven't had access to a lap top yet :P)

the smallest connector's i could find were 9 pin


female plug soldered in to ecu


didn't have a dremel, but an angle grinder works fine




didn't have any little screws. it's a pretty snug fit and doesn't move without them, but i'll throw some in there sooner or later.


i had to drive an hour to get my nokia cable after running to all the shacks around town. they had three left, i should have bought all of them, but i had a brain fart and didn't think about it until i was half way home :P the cable is pretty short, so i soldered in some pretty long extensions and taped her up



i bought this p05 with the vtec conversion already done, i had never taken it out of the shell completely, but this is what i found, i assume this is the vtec conversion.
