i'll be tuning it myself, figured it would be fun.

then get cruise at 14.7 maybe play around with advancing the timing some in cruise or just off idle it helps with throttle response and then start tooning boost. In boost try to keep it around 11.5-12.0 in boost. if you made your basemap with crome and boost tools then you'll probably actualy feel Det if you go up to about 8 psi if you do just retard the timing a few degrees and it'll quit. make a det can and listen. if you retard to much you'll feel it the car will pull slower
How I do it is I'll tune my afr and smooth the map and then do it again it helps get those one or two cells that run rich or lean out that you don't really hit all the time. and it helps the car run smoother. although when youve got it about perfect you can mess up everything you just did by doing that.
If you can get an ostrich. It makes everything easier with live tuning the instant change lets you compare make changes. It really makes for better tuning.

ya, i wouldn't mind getting an ostrich. but i'm on a budget, i can still tune it the slow way. i just need to get my datalogging workin now. i'm thinkin of using freelog, just havn't soldered my dku-5 cable in yet. got a feeling setting it all up on the computer side is gonna be a bitch.

As to the idle jumping, I had problems with the GM 3 Bar. Using the P30 base code, I changed the vacuum portion of the MAP scalers to match the P72 ROM. After that I just use the smoothing option to get the fuel values close to the new scaler values, and then I tuned the low load sections from there.
I tried this on my NA B17 using the P30 code as well and it seems to have eliminated the idle surging that would happen intermittently.
