ya, i wouldn't mind getting an ostrich. but i'm on a budget, i can still tune it the slow way. i just need to get my datalogging workin now. i'm thinkin of using freelog, just havn't soldered my dku-5 cable in yet. got a feeling setting it all up on the computer side is gonna be a bitch.

thats' what i said at first but the ostrich is worth its weight in gold. omfg i love it. save up for one if you can

After my first time with a turbo car I decided to bite the bullet and get an Ostrich. Best investment for tuning so far besides the LC-1.



As to the idle jumping, I had problems with the GM 3 Bar. Using the P30 base code, I changed the vacuum portion of the MAP scalers to match the P72 ROM. After that I just use the smoothing option to get the fuel values close to the new scaler values, and then I tuned the low load sections from there.

I tried this on my NA B17 using the P30 code as well and it seems to have eliminated the idle surging that would happen intermittently.
