Default help: freelog + dku-5 = loopback failed

ebay dku-5 cable

driver installed and is assigned com4

port settings in freelog and dku-5 are same

tried several baud rates still get:

port opened successfully
transmit event successful
loopback failed
port successfully closed

on dku-5 found rx and tx from their respective voltages ~3.5v and ~2.5v
edit: i did connect rx and tx together for the loopback test.

everything else in freelog is default using 1.0.87 beta.
unzipped and opened.

did i miss step(s)

Any help is appreciated. mahalo

Yes, how would it connect back otherwise? You can put a jumper wire to the Rx and Tx and then use the Hyperterminal to check if the cable works.
