Default H23 setup

[b][color=Teal]I have an H23a1 Honda motor I am using a mitsu. starion turbo. My boost goal is 7.5 psi. Iam using a mitsu. eclipse manifold which strangely enough all I have to do elongate the bolt holes and it fits. Am useing a ford probe inter cooler 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent pipe. for management I'm using an S-AFC(super air/fuel controller). a stock fuel system. the regulater respondes to boost 1.46:1 to my calculations. For ignition I'm using a MSD 6BTM(6AL with boost timing retard. my question is will this setup work without blowing the motor ??

LOL... after hearing all sorts of crap for years about some OEM turbo manifold bolting right to a different engine, I finally run across one that's true.

AFC hack + BTM is not the best way, grasshopper... if you already have the BTM, don't freak, go ahead and use it. Set your base ignition timing maybe 2 degrees retarded, dial the BTM in at 1 degree per psi, and make sure it runs RICH until you tune with a wideband. Feel free to change any of those settings if you think the car runs better a different way, but that should do you for a baseline.

When you do tune with a wideband, don't go as high as 12.5:1 AF, due to the little bit of ignition advance at low boost, which is due to the AFC and the BTM can't address. 12:1 flat should be nice and safe.

This is one of my friends with out the privledge of the internet so he can't respond. But I know hes not planning on using 450 injectors. He was planning on using chack valves and just richening the afc. But won't the ecu see this as boost? thanks for the help
