external wastegated turbo setup or apexi bb internal wastegated setup?
hey wassup guyz i need to know asap if i should keep my rev hard mani with extername wastegate with t3 turbo or use the apexi sohc bb internal wastegate setup?
which setup would be better for me its on a built sohc. let me know boys thanks.

what motor/car?
Naturally a decent external would always be better but this is choosen upon many variables. Stock turbo cars work fine with internal cause they never exceed X psi.

well its a sohc built z6 i have a rev hard super 60 t3 on it now with tial style wastegate. and i just got an apexi ball bearing kit in the mail. just wondering which one is better. dude the apexi turbo is sooooo small.

Keep the Revhard/T3/External gate setup. The Apexi BB kit is very limited, the turbo is small, yet it spools really fast. I saw a couple people making some good #'s with it, but they cant go much higher. Especially since your engine is already built stay with your old setup.

so u just bought a ball bearing turbo with internal wastegate?
If your z6 is already built then you should be able to manage the higher boost.. so if anything keep what you have (as long as it's working properly).

ok two for keeping my old setup. ball bearing doesnt mean anything huh? i always though ball bearing was better. but the apexi turbo looks like it will die out top end.

Ball Bearing is better if you're comparing the same turbo.. one with, one without. Currently you're trying to compare an apple to an orange.. well more like an apple to a grape (ball bearing grape).

The Apexi Kit was to compete with the Greddy kit, the kits are very similar and both will probably make 220ish whp maybe a tad more but not much. Your Super60 will easily make 300whp, especially later on if you want to upgrade you have the option for a T3/T4 since the Rev hard mani uses a t3 discharge flange, unlike the Greddy/Apexi Kit, they use the homo JDM T25 flange. The only good thing about the Apexi kit that I remember was the kit was really cheap, like 1000 bucks or something, they were selling the things like hotcakes on Honda-tech for awhile until they ran out.
