did everything except another computer.

upload from ostrich wont work and neither will RTP. says no avalible com ports on this computer

if you get a no available comports message, that means that it cant find any ports...or they are in use by something else.

if you can open the ecucontrol plugin and go to teh innovate channels tab it will tell you which ports are available in the selection box.

i would still try another computer to verify that its not the software... if it works on another computer, you may want to consider a reformat if you dont have time to trouble shoot.

tried it on my buddys laptop and still nothing ima try it on my desktop next but im all out of ideas.

turbo edit is just saying looking for ostrich 5x and then Ostrich not found. this is on my laptop.

stupid question, are you plugging in your cables before you start the engine? i have to have all my usb stuff connected or nothing will work...

im out of ideas, unless you want to send me your laptop and ill see if i can get it working!?!? but im sure you wouldn't want to do that!!!

have you tried looping data through a modem yet (if you can connect to the modems com#)?

Yes i have them connected and i send my rom to the ostrich before i even put the key in the ignition.

what is the looping data threw the modem, sorry a lil bit to drink tonight and last night i have had a bad week. by sunday ill have a new list of exactly what is happening. detail for detail. tell me more of the modem looping?

your modem isnt listed under com ports, but it is assigned one. look at the pic below to find which port it is and try to connect and start datalogging through it.

right click modem, properties...advanced tab, advanced port settings...
