Got ECU Control working, but....
You know, i have the BEST luck ever. I got my ECU control all put in, all my wiring run, a built in power run for my laptop, plug it all in, everything works great, all my reading look good (except the A/F which I read they are still having probs with), so I figure I'll turn logging on and make a trip around the block to see how it looks. i make it to the end of my block (THE END OF THE BLOCK!!) and my laptop craps out. No power, no nothin'. *sigh* It looked good the the 5 minutes I had it all working. I know I didn't blow it with the custom power run, since I'd used it LOTS before with I was testing. So, anyone have a cheepy laptop they want to get rid of. I have an SCCA run on the 26th, and I'd like to be able to have it runnig by then.

yeah it's toast. i collect them too. this one was the bastard child of 3 laptops. guess it was just it's time (again). now, i can get my grid-top running again, just need to find a 28 pin .5mm pitch flat flex cable. *sigh* Digikey has got 30 pins, but .5mm is awefully small to be tryin' to trim 2 connectors off.

Ummm yeah, ok. English is the popular language around here.
Doesnt that just figure though? Everything that you expected to have problems worked great, and the thing that you didn't expect to have problems took a ----.
