Free log, ecu control not working?

i have the Moates Hulog and it has worked for me in the past. but when i try to use freelog or ecucontrol to datalog it doesnt wanna connect anymore.

I am using turboedit latest edition on my car and i have the ecu plugin and it works great when i use the plugin but if i go in manually it will not datalog?

Free log used to work i have no clue as to why it is not now, i have crome 2.0 and i made the paraters from the freelog section for crome 2.0 but still not working. Both freelog and ECUcontrol will not work on any obd0 or obd1 systems, but ecucontrol will work with my TE plugin? i have searched for over a week for a thread with troubleshooting but havent found anything relating to my problem. anyone help me please!

I use te with this plug in. http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=14776 down at the bottom is the installer.

With crome I use 1.5. http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=16574 and I just use the settings in freelog and switch it to crome.

Remember you have to add dataloging in crome for it to work. You can use the loop back test and sanity check in freelog to make sure your hulog is working

I have never found crome 2.0?

What ecu are you using?

when i use turbo edit its on my PR4 but crome 2.0 was on a customers p28. i am trying to datalog without hooking up my pstrich for track runs with the chip. o and J12 is cut on the p28 and i added dataloging. i have the latest turbo edit and ecu control plugin on my pr4 in my personal car and it works great but if i close ecu control then open it without the plug in it will not log? my concern is now i have nothing i can use to datalog crome free with.

Did you get it fixed then? I don’t use that I just use Crome <=1.2 in setting or crome 1.4 in settings cant remember. Did you use your loop back test and sanity check yet?

I am using a p72 I had to get the new dataloger+rtp for crome to get it all to work. http://www.tunewithcrome.com/plugins.html

Re: Free log, ecu control not working?

no not fixed

Free log - i have used crome 1.2 crome 1.4 freelog 1.0 stock honda and cui 2.0 none work on either ecu's

ECU Control - i have tried ng55 and crome\uberdata settings and neither work only works if im using my turbo edit.

for free log i cant remeber but i think loop back worked but sanity check failed ill check again tonight and let you know.

Re: Free log, ecu control not working?

So maybe com port? I hit the windows button + pause/brake button and go to device manager. Plug in my hulog and see what port is assigned. The brud rate for me is 38400 I to use hulog.

I have used freelog with crome successfully though. I just hook up my ostrich 2.0 load a bin add dataloging+rtp. Update my ostrich with the bin. Open freelog connect and its good to go. I think I have data logged without my ostrich though. I will try it again. You may just have to run down the track with the ostrich. Or use an innovate product to capture the data + logworks 3.0. This probably means that dataloging is not added to the chip ( Sanity Check Failed Cuis Datalogger Code Not Found Please Check Com port and Baud Rate!) Running with the ostrich may be the only way.

Tell you the truth I have had no luck with freelog and turbo edit I just use the ecu control plug in dataloger. You said before this works. For me obdo turbo edit + freelog I have only gotten map/o2/and vss to work. I have logged successfully without the ostrich on obdo with the plug in. I just open te. Go to ecu control plug in and open it up. Connect and its good to go.

LOL some times this ---- sucks. For me my hulog is constantly com 5 but this is probably computer specific. The loop back test means your hulog is working good but we already know this because ecu control plug in works for te.
Sorry man I think Im out of ideas.

Re: Free log, ecu control not working?

i only tested that so i can show you the states using my car witch i run turbo edit. my point for this thread is because i cant tune crome without freelog working for me now. i have changed my com port many times and baud rate has always been 38400 but i have changed it a few times and still no go. i can use turbo edit to datalog with ecu control i can datalog with BRE's dataloger but i cant get freelog or ecucontrol to work so i can datalog for crome. and i have dataloged on crome with freelog and ecucontrol before????

Re: Free log, ecu control not working?

That sucks. I did test today I cant datalog without my ostrich on, obd1/crome I was wrong. Like I said before the loop back test passed so your hulog is working. Sanity test failed So you either have a bad com port, bruad rate or possible problems with the ecu? I think I am flat out of ideas have your tried uninstalling crome and freelog and re installing?

Maybe post your bin? I will see if I can get it to work on my end. I have no idea. Maybe your ostrich is broke LOL.
