Default CHEAP ENGINE MANAGMENT

I know this site is primarily honda- but i've seen the uberdata computers you guys are using and i know you guys are deffinatly into doing things with the least amount of money so heres my story. Picked up a 95 Sentra w/ the GA16DE engine. people have boosted this engine but seem to have spent a ---- ton of money doing it. (nissanperformancemag.com) anyhow, i seem to have everything i need except a manifold (in the process of constructing a tube manifold) and i cant find any kind of cheap engine managment. The only thing ive found that i am able to purchase is around $600. I stole the car for $200. I'm trying to get this thing boosted under $1000. I'd be greatful of any info available!!

thanks

If I were to boost a Sentra (<10psi ish), Id look around for a used extra injector controller, maybe an SDS? For ignition, Id just retard at the dizzy a few degree's if needed.
How much boost do you want to run? Im sure you could get away with 7 or 8 psi w/o having to back the timing down more than a few degree's. If you wanted to run more, you could pick up a used MSD Boost Timing Master. Pretty cheap fuel and ignition solution.

The SMT6 I believe its called is pretty resonable as well.I dont know off hand but I think it is around 350-400.That or a piggy back/injector controller such as SDS or Split Second systems.

SMT6 is good. Depending on the current market they fluctuate from $320-390usd in North America.
I would either megasquirt, or SMT6 it.

SMT6 is VERY easy to learn and use.
