Reading plugs is og and it works sadly enough how to you think all the v8 guys lasted this long. has far has timing thats to much taken out especially if your runnning a small turbo. Fuel on any turbo/nitrous car run the car rich simple mid 11's. There is very little power to be made with afr's, I have tuned alot of all motor cars and trust me I tune them rich has well,it eliminates alot of things that cause people to blow motors safety net if you would

if you dont have access to a burner and have an adjustable fpr crank the psi up

I have the burn1 I also have an LC1 that doesnt work 100% all the time. if it did I would mess around with it and figure this out by myself. Untill then is back to reading plugs.

Guess I am fine then. The girlfriend noticed some black carbon shoot out of the exhaust as I did a pull past her the other day. I asked her if she was sure. she told me it looked like a diesel...So I guess that is a good thing.

Now my next step is advancing the timing a bit I guess and also making a det can. I'll be borrowing another sensor for the LC1 from a buddy so I can finally tune this setup to 10 psi. Then when my 680's come in I'll be running 15-17 tops.

Just pay attention when advancing your timing and you'll be good. Listen with the det can (I made an el-cheapo det-can setup with some home depot tubing and a harbor freight stethoscope) and pull it back if you hear anything. Also one more plug tip for you on timing...after you do a WOT pull, check the electrode of the plug. If there's a black ring about 1mm or so from the tip of the electrode, back timing off just a hair more.

So pretty much shut the car off while in WOT under boost right?

Yes. Best time to inspect the plug is when it's fresh...meaning a new set. Let the motor idle to get up to temp (this will only leave black soot at the top of the plug until the plug reaches temp to burn it off), then do your 3rd or 4th gear pull and look down inside the plug well to see what the ring looks like (will probably need a pen led flashlight and a magnifying glass to see it though). Usually the ring at the tip of the electrode tells you if there's a hair too much timing in general during WOT, so if you see it, back timing off a little bit at a time until it disappears throughout the boost rpm range. If you see no ring in your current timing, then you're ****.
