5 Volt wideband input mod for p28...good?
I have a PLX wideband, and I want to datalog it on crome pro. I saw this article on pgmfi.org http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/view/Library/O2InputMod and was wondering is this the only way to do it, or is there a better or different way. Also, is ther anything I have to change in crome pro to make it record the 5V input. Seeing whats out there, whats more popular, or is there a better writeup to this mod (Im not 100% following to where I jump the capacitor lead to once its desoldered)

You don't NEED to do it. If you don't do the mod, the ECU will only ever see a lower voltage, something along the lines of 3.8v. It just means your ECU/datalogging will never display richer than a certain AFR, I think it works out to 17.XX:1 AF. There is more, and more accurate info on pgmfi.org, go check it.
Really? I thought it would cut out a little over 1 volt since the factory o2 doesnt read past 1 V. Im not hoping to go over 17a/f so i think ill do it w/o cutting/soldering anything else. Thanks for the info. I will look more into it on pgmfi tho.
Also, I just run the 5 v signal to the factory o2 input, bypass the factory o2 signal, disable o2 in the chip, and I only log wideband while tuning, correct? I know this is going to change the way the car runs once I do hook the factory o2 back up and re-enable the o2, but is it significant enough, or should I not worry about it, or do I just run it w/ the factory o2 always disabled even after tuning? sorry for all the questions, but I want to make sure I have this concept down right. Thanks again.

I just took the wideband output from my plx controller to the o2 input, I didnt do any of that o2 input mod bs, and it works great when I datalog in ECUcontrol. I disabled my o2 in crome and left it that way, after you have a tuned map you dont need it.
