I'll give you props for backyard fabrication, that's a LOT more than I expected to see out of this thread.

Old fords kick *** any way you wanna look at it. 300 I6 is bullett proof! I just put a 1962 390 in my 74 ford, I have a T4 and a carb hat ready to go, just need the rest of the parts and the time to make it happen.

And, the intake project is ------- nuts. I love it

390 is my dream engine. it's a not too big big block, and can stomp as much as a 460, with better cyl wall shape retention at assloads of heat, load, and boost.

my neighbor is an old circle track push truck guy, with a garage wall lined with c6's, t18/t19, and 390's.

the bandsaw blade is a variable tooth, starrett blade. i hoggered that ****** into the 1" thick cast iron, and started lugging down the 1hp 220 motor, 3750rpm, geared down to 260rpm. its got serious bite, but my blade guide is fucked up badly, and makes the blade want to walk off the cutting line at times.

and JD, i'll finish the project when there isnt 4" of snow on everything, and still falling. i hate welding in wet weather with cast iron..

poor circulation in hands, when they get overly cold, the blood wants to keep flowing, to counteract the cold to keep em warm, but for some reason my neves are retarded, and don't start restricting the flow, and it feels like when you wrap tape really tight around your finger, only all over them. its retarded, but mildly genetic
