Got a weird situation, parked the car for 2 weeks now go to start it up
and it sounds like rod knock. Now when I push in the clutch it goes
away...flywheel and pressure plate are tight. Could the throwout bearing
make this noise
Motor is a Nissan KA24DE BTW

 

You sure the pressure plate is tight to the crank? Maybe a squirrel moved in there and you just fucked his day up.

 

100% sure, that would suck for the squirrel though

Just finished taking the tranny out and I cant really tell if
the bearing shot or not.

 

no, it's most likely a loose part in between the block and tranny.. i've had my flywheel bolts back out before when I forgot to torque them. get to work son

 

If it was the throw out bearing, it would make noise when you pushed in the clutch. It sounds like somthing is up though. Dose you trans have any fluid in it?

 

JUst go drive it like a jackass if it breaks then yeah its fucked

 

I'd check the tranny fluid level.

Sounds like either something is loose, or there is a bearing in the tranny that is going out.

 

The fluid is topped off, damn was hoping it was
the bearing.

Pull your inspection plate, and then take a look and se if anything is fucked. Have you ever unbolted your transmission? How many miles are on it?
