in oregon they are starting to force 20% ethanol in gasoline...

since you will get less mpg... you'll have to buy more gallons of gas... and you pay tax on every gallon.

more tax, without actually raising it. not to mention it'll raise the price of gasoline, and also raise the price of food, corn in particular...

also all the problems with fuel filters, fuel pumps, rubber seals, more frequent oil changes, etc...

its said you have to burn 1 gallon of regular diesel to produce 1.3 gallons of ethonal... (farming and transportation... etc...)

we're getting screwed really hard on this...

 

When I went to get gas a few weeks ago, every pump was now 10% ethanol, there was not one non-ethanol pump. I think this is going to be the case everywhere soon...

The only thing ethanol is good for is.......

-Using 1.29 gallons of gasoline to produce 1 gallon of ethanol
-propping up farmers through government programs/mandates
-increasing the cost of food
-getting less mpg than gasoline


Real energy revolution we're in here. Ethanol is beneficial to turbo hondas, but that doesn't counter the negatives of it.

Out by me is pretty much the same way...the pumps are 10% methanol as well. They used to have a sticker on the side of them telling you it was mixed, but somehow they got away with taking the stickers down and still keeping the methanol mixed gas. Took me a little over a week to figure out why my 93 octane tune was starting to knock. :P
