Default some cool recent fab work

This was for a local customer it is a replacement for the factory o2 housing on a
88-92 (1st gen) mazda mx6 or 89-93 ford probe turbo
This devides the internal wastegate and adds it in later so that it reduces back pressure and is 2.5" for much greater flow over the stock

Here is the original for comparison

This completely clears ac it is factory bolt on

lol I wish it took 2 hours I spent about 5-6 hours in total on it (it was a hell of a lot of work doing the wg back into it with that really long merge) but I think after the 5th one or so I should be able to knock them out in about 2 hours each

dont get me wrong its very very nice and I built one like it for a dsm and they are a bitch to get to fit up nice but it doesn't look as nice as your regular work. The welds look more cc-fab then the bmc race that I have seen

It is mild steel (welds are always ugly on that stuff) and I welded outside first then inside to smooth things out which put a fine layer of mill scale on the outside and made em look a little goofy
Also in some areas I had some fairly large gaps to bridge (one was a lil over 1/8")

Eh not always. Use a flap disk to clean up mill scale. Always wire brush when welding. I'm too lazy but there is some welds I did on MS on one of the threads.
