Default TBI...

i have a 1990 2.5 litre s10. it is TBI (throttle body injection). i have been reading up on turbo charging carbs becasie that is basicly what it is, a carb . but i plan on a low boost draw though design. any sugestions? i have found some problems such a an extreme vacume will be creaated when the turbo is spoolong but the throttle plate closes. this is not good obviosly. has anyone done htis with tbi??

I assume that since it is not an actual carb, then you could hookup some sort of fuel calibration device to control the flow, i which case it wont be so nasty as tuning a carb for turbo. If I were you, my first step would be to find the tuning options available.

With it being TBI, there isn't much different than MPFI, you may run out of flow quite quickly depending on the sizing of the injectors, but all you should need is a FMU, or a custom-burned MEMCAL.

the biggest problem is fuel leaking out the throttle shafts when in boost. Dont do a draw throught, blow through ownes you on that.
