Well, at about 60 I hit the shop with a new set of pistons and a honing tool. Ran into some sticky spots, but all came out well.

The carnage:

Cylinder 1 ringlands cracked and fucked hard with no lube, (155psi compression before rebuild)

Cylinder 2 ringlands cracked and fucked hard with no lube. i couldnt get some of the rings out of the lands at all, they're like pinched in there( 110psi compression before rebuild)

Cylinder 3 ringlands cracked but no chunks of ringlands broken loose. lots of cylinder contact, took a while to hone out (170psi)

Cylinder 4 ringlands cracked but no chunks broken loose(190psi)

Now here's something I found really weird.

Cylinder 1 upper rod bearing was chewed to ----, and broken in half, yet the car still ran smooth and didn't knock. ACL Bearings. Anyone have that happen before? The rest of the bearings looked great, all were plastigauged and within spec when first assembled.

I'll try to get a good camera tomorrow and see if I can get some pics, right now its 30AM and I just wanna go to bed.
