If thats 11.9 where the log line is at, looks like you are dipping to what 9-10 in some spots? Can you say "cylinder wash". As much as I like and respect you **** you blow up way too much ---- bro. I'm going with shitty tune too. Conservative may be ok but too conservative is just as bad if not WORSE than running lean. Before you call me a f'n noob or whatever like the others....

<---40,000 miles at 10 psi on a D15B7 6 months of bracket racing tuned by ME
<---30,000 miles at 10.5 psi on a JDM D15B with a t3/t4 tuned by yours truly once again.

I would check your Zeitronik calibration. When you calibrated the o2 was it in your downpipe or free air? Either your wideband is off, tune is whacky or you just don't get it (as in too much boost kills engines). There comes a point where maybe, just MAYBE you need to turn the finger around and point it at yourself. Crap tune/engine abuse. You have what 4,5,8....teen under your belt now lol. props for getting it back together but man I can already see your next blown engine post. Be smart this time eh?

its funny how everyone immediately resolves to something wrong with my tuning just because I broke some ringlands. What kind of reputation does Dave Lee have as far as tuning goes in the NW? Ok, and how many times has he busted up some ringlands has he popped on his own setups? Like 5?

i messed with my wastegate the during the day before I went to the track trying to resolve that little 2psi spoolup spike, and instead of curing it, I created a nasty creep in the upper rpm range. Did I stay in the throttle when I saw it creeping on the one pass I made? Yes. Why? Because I felt like it. Who really cares anyways, its a ------- D16.

I love how on this post I am the one person thats the least concerned about breaking cast d-series ringlands. I get it plenty, excessive boost can kill a stock motor...and its ------- sweet. I'll have fun popping the next one while my built motor is waiting to go in. Do you have a request as to what I should make the title of that thread? Maybe "OMG IM SUCH A BAD TUNER"...

Don't hate on me because you're too much of a ----- to turn up the boost.

ps - wideband was calibrated in downpipe with full exhaust, and then compared with the readings of someone elses plx wideband to cure my paranoia. yeah i thought of that too.

and yes, these rich spots you speak of are as I get back on the throttle during a pass after each shift. I have had zero luck getting them to change no matter what the adjustments, but I am writing it off to mostly still running closed loop. Once I get the new motor broken in I plan on spending the time open loop tuning my car, but god damn it sucks doing that without an ostrich.

also, i know what you're capable of and I know you're not a noob. If you look back, most of the people I referred to as noobs either have never touched a wideband or so much as built a basemap, or they've never even boosted a car.

^^ Amen

People are so worried about blowing their motor. Took me a day and half to replace all of my pistons, it's not a hard job, nor do I mind doing it. You had a good tune, and people need to chill out.

He already said he was having wastegate problems and spiking to 14psi.

Everybody is talking about blown motors like its a sin or something horrific. OMG you ****** you blew your own motor that YOU payed for and YOU drive. It is a D series! **** didnt key your car or skin a cat, calm down.

Good job on blowing another motor. Hopefully on this one you will be able to hit 14psi reliably, and great job on the SUPER quick rebuild.

---- it then if you don't care about blowing them up then neither do I lol! Me personaly I cannot be without my ride for more than a weekend. I COULD use my wifes car but that means I have to take the kids to cheerleading. I dont think so! So sure I don't quite run mine on the ragged edge of grenading such as some but its all personal preference right? Have fun popping the next one I guess *shrug* sounds like extra un-needed work IMHO.

I was only without my car for about 6 hours while me and Lincoln were drinking 40's and rebuilding it.

It drove fine broken, just stinks and smokes, and the rebuild is cake.

I guess I am just about pushing the limits, even tho this error was shitty wastegate related.
