I think my burner just died on me.

I burned an SST chip, went outside to test it.

Came back to erase and re-burn, the red light thats normally on was off and I got a hardware failure.

rebooted a couple times just to make sure it wasnt something the computer tripped out about.

tried unplugging and re-plugging stuff, only got the red light to come on dimly for a couple moments, green light has stayed off entire time.

no noticeable burnt spots on the board, everything looks okay.

any idea?

 

Maybe you zapped it the static electricity. A lil zap like that can ruin a whole motherboard.

 

zapped it just sittin here on my desk, kinda hard to believe, but anythings possible.

workin fine now, chip was in backwards. gave it symptoms like there wasnt any hardware present at all.

 

does it have a external power suply? it could be that went bad
