Default Weird uberdata 1.7 datalogging issue

I'm using the nokia phone cable with uberdata 1.7 and my plx-m300 WB. The phone cable is in COM 1 and is running at 38400bps. When it tries to datalog, the numbers jump back and forth, one number being the correct reading and another being way off. For example, the rpms will read 850 then drop to 52 then back to 850 fairly quickly and continue to do this. Any ideas on what could be cuasing this?

Have tried adjusting the baud rate? Is there any other devices on COM1?

Go into your device manager and make sure your drivers are installed correctly, and that your USB cable IS in fact under COM1. My laptop kept setting it on COM5 and would not allow me to switch it to COM 1-4. However, the Serial port is under COM 1 so thats how i needed to get it working.
Also, try other beaud rates. I have heard that other settings than 34800 or whatever work.

It is the only thing in COM1, had to move something else out of there. I tried a few different baud rates, but not all of them. I'll give that a shot and see what happens.
