do d16y8 parts fit d16y5

I got rods and pistons for a d16y8 will they fit for a d16y5? I think they are the same parts. d16y5 is a honda civic 98 hx

yes they will, kinda pointless though if your gonna keep that y5 12 valve head (while not in vtec) i say swap a y8 head on the y5 block, thats what im doing trust me you will be pleased
