Default Wastegate+Boost controller?

Ok, I have a t25 with stock actuator at 8psi. I want to make it 6psi and jeff gave me the idea of adding washers to the actuator mounting so it pushes the wastegate out a bit so it opens all the way under less pressure. The question is if I do this, set a spacer or washers to reduce boost and add a boost controller to adjust it, how will the controller work if the flap is already open a bit?
Thanks

The controller will still work as normal, remember you will get more lag once the gate is slightly open (with washers)

The boost controller only modifys the boost signal to the wastegate actuator.

Last question, what would be the best way to set it at 6psi? Thanks for the help

Find a wastegate that was set at 6psi and modify it to fit.

Or do our "Spring setup"

Check out www.denverspeed.com he has a method to modify the waste gate rod to lower boost. I think it might be similar to Jeffs washer and spring method but I have not actually seen his before.

ya we did something similar to that on a T25 wastegate awhile back.. I never got to try it, so I dont know how well it worked.
