vafc dosent initialize settings

Default vafc dosent initialize settings

I need some help from poeple who use the hack. I have everything hooked up . It turns on and everything but when i shut my car off and turn it back on and double check to see if my setting are still there , they are not. I dont know if i am doing something wrong or if there is a trick to it. Help me out please i dont want to run the fmu and my car is running like crap . Thanks in advance

did you get it used? There is a setting on the vafcII to password protect the parameters so nobody can change them. I don't know if this would cause your problem, but you might look into it if it applies to you.

Are you 100% sure it is hooked up right? Sounds like you have the power wire hooked up wrong?

I went by the intructions and pinout on the diagrams. I bought the thing from someone else but it was still in the box and it was never hooked up. It is not the vafc ll . Just the regular one. Would it make a difference
if i hook it up (powerwise) another way other than by using the ecu power wire. Thanks again

are you going to "initialize" in the etc. menu? if you are then don't because that erases the settings. i set mine up twice before i realized that initialize means erase. go figure

Thats what i found out a earlier and now i am not pushing the initialize button. Thanks to the poeple who replied. She also running nice at idle. Thanks HMT!!!

Ha ha..... ...... initialize= default setting which erases the operators set-point.....

i had the same problem hahaha
but that was a long time ago...

i had my VAFC unplugged for few months. when i plugged it in to another car the settings where still there
