IAC CEL ??
well first off, it a 00 si stock b16. o.k. heres the scenario. i took my im and tb off to clean them, in doing so i somehow pulled my knock sensor apart getting to the nuts for the bottom of the im, so i'm like "----" just get a new one. in order to clean them i took the tps and iac sensors off of the tb, cleaned it, put everything back together. put everything back on the car. start it up and drive and i have a cel, well i assume it's because of the broken knock sensor, so i didn't even check my codes. well, i'm waiting for my knock sensor to get here, and am emailing josh to find out where it's at
and he tells me (after 3 weeks) that the symptoms (no vtec and high idle) are not from a knock sensor. so i go check my codes and i get 3! one for the knock sensor, one for tps, and one for iac?? i'm like wtf since these are the sensors i had to take off to clean the tb. well, i check it out and my dumb *** didn't even have the tps sensor hooked up
so i hook it up and now i have vtec and two codes, well i know why i have the knock sensor code, just don't know about the iac. i have vtec now, and the car idles a little bit lower (about 1500), when i push the clutch in, it drops to normal, but then jumps back up to around 1500. any help as to how to troubleshoot my iac is what i'm looking for. i don't understand because i just took it off and put it back on, and the car is practically brand new, so i shouldn't have faulty sensors.

i actually got it figured out before i read this post, crx88si, you were right, i took it off and saw that i didn't put the o ring back on, so i was having a vaccum leak, all good now though
