Axle help

Default Axle help

well i dropped the tranny and put in an act clutch and the ------- driver side axle doesn't want to slide back in. any one have a clue why?

try undoing the steering knuckle, and don't forget to hold the axle shaft and use it like a slide hammer.

when you pulled the axel out did a loose ring on the very end of the axel come out with it? some times they get stuck ing the tranny and must be removed before the axel will move in. Also useing the axel as a slide hammer will cause CV joint damage. Also make sure the hat is lined up prety well or it will just catch on the insde of the tranny.

its finally in i lined it up and just tapped the end of the axle with a hammer and it poped in.
