Default z6 problem

the story goes, i have a z6 that i was planning to build for my crx but i found out last weekend that nitrous and boost dont work to well together on a stock y7. so ill be borrowing the z6 from the crx to put in my 97 coupe.

problems

1. idk what distributor to use. the y7 fits into the cam but the wholes dont align. the z6 one works of course but the plug is different on the y7 harness. ideas ??

2. there is a plug that comes on the y7 from the crank pulley but there is nothing like that on the z6

only two for right now but im sure ill have a little more when i actually put it in. thanks in advance.

there is a crank angle sensor on the obd2's that the z6 didn't have. And the dist would be the one from the head. If its a z6, us a z6 dist with the wires repinned for the obd2 plug or make a harness to plug into the dist and the wiring harness. If you look at the harness, its the same on both, except the obd2 has it all on 1 plug instead of 2.

so what your saying is that all i should do is depin the two wires from the obd2 harness and connect them to the EXTRA plug on the distributor and just plug the other one in, right ??

If the z6 is going into the obd2 car with the obd2 wiring harness, then just use the z6 dist and repin to match the obd2 plug. I'm not sure what other dist will work on the head that is obd2. That should work fine.
