its actually 6000rpm but same thing i guess

one thing i do want to point out is compression ratio, check out the combustion chamber volume on the z1 head, i havent done the calculation w/ your setup, but i can assure you its gonna take a HUGE head gasket to get compression anywhere near driveable, and still make less power than a worn out z6 head. like said, its a paperweight, boat anchor, whatever, no good for anything. well, MPG, thats it, but it takes more than the head to get the mileage up to par w/ a vx.

i looks it up and it looks like i would need a .054 head gasket to get my compression down to 8.8 or something. im to lazy to do it again.

well i guess i need a z6 head now.

  • the z1 has roller rockers
  • enable vtec always so it will be like a regular 16 valve motor.
  • port the ---- out of it.
  • save for a z6 head.

I'd hotrex you. I can't remember anything long enough to follow it through to the end.

If the guy who helped me ship my ebay sales for 10% hadn't gone off to school I'd say yes and just give the money to him, but... I feel like an *** even mentioning it.
