will type r pistons go in a ls

will the type r piston work with a ls block and head.
will the valves clear the piston head.
last on the piston head does the arrow face the timeing belt. any info will help

i think they have a IN spamp on the piston. IN = intake side.
but yes i do believe the arrow points to the timing belt side.
