Replacing the whole distributor usually means cheapshit chinese reman distributors which are the LAST thing you want on a turbo car. Advance Auto Parts quality igniters are problems waiting to happen. Just steal a used OEM one out of any other HondAcura of the same era, or go Beck Arnley.
well, no need to buy one, it wasn't the ignitor.

dude that had the car before me uninstalled some msd or something, and gave the wires the nagger style shove the wire under the screw treatment. well one wire had broken off, and was just touching on and off of the contact.

noticed it when hitting bumps would kill the car.

either way i wouldnt have bought another ignitor, theres about 4 donor distributors sitting in mike's garage.

That's good to hear.

I've had that problem before. It used to only happen when it was cold out. But it went away when I installed a new ignitor.

When are you bringing that bad boy to the races? I am going tonight with my buddy and his Nissan/Chevy... he's looking to hit 9's tonight!

Eh, I was just being a smartass because I liked you better when we sniped at each other a bit. Just make a rude remark, and let it go.

I'm afraid it's gonna be a problem when I go and try to start tuning the car.
yes and no, it may or may not work with the tach you're using. a good brand name (ie auto meter) will read the square wave outputs of aftermarket and high performance tach signal, and should not be jumpy

edit: vette tach filter, pretty much all the same, and it's only $25:
