i did my own research on these pistons and found out they are not forged, they are cast aluminum, i even found out that a GEO tracker all years and even chey tracker 97 and up all have the same size bore as any D series, also same size wrist pin, but only if they were forged.... but they have a very low compression when mixxing them with the D series. i am still very intrested in this though....

Not if you wanna run larger amounts of boost The lower the better. And besides...an early 90's accord f22 has pretty much that c/r anyway, and they run just fine

I dont get it, Y7 pistons will give u about 8.5:1 too with a Z6 head and are cast. So might as well stay Honda... or in my case I scored a Y7 block in the junkyard with 20k miles.

I will say though that my car is a HUGE pig out of the hole, i regret 8.5:1 every day I romp on it.

Just doesnt seem worth the effort unless you're going to replace the rods, which in that case you'd prolly want more than 8.5:1 anyway since you can handle it!

i know what you mean, i went from 10.5 compression to 9 flat and my car just sucks at the low end.
