Default transmission help

i have a dx tranny and i just noticed my third gear started to grind. there is a complete ex engine/transmission at a local junk for 150 bux. but the tranny has a hole on top of it where the mount goes. it dosent appear to have any damage internally, so my question is can i use my transmission case and put in the ex internals ?? or is too much of a hassle ? i can get a working ex transmission for 300 bux from the same guy.

it can be done, but your looking at 3-5 hours of labor......it is not a simple swap.

Also with the hole in the top, how much rust/water damage?

a EX tranny for $300 unrefreshed had better come with a blow job and a reach around.........

nothing EX or DX for sale, unless you wanna buy my KAAZ close ratio tranny.

I'd part with is for $1200 shipped in the US. The KAAZ has 40k miles on it, clutch packs may need servicing soon.
