just got a rebuild kit off ebay i told them i have a 1.6 si with a pl3-9000 transmission.
i opened the kit and the diff bearing are 70mm od but the old ones are 80mm od.
did he send me a kit for a 1.5?

If you read the posting, it clearly stated (well to me it did!) that the kit was for a small bearing case, atleast the last auction posting I saw from "acerl".......

Identify this Transaxle by 1 Piece Alum Rear Case and 207 Differential Bearings.

Trans Tag Code # L3 4 spd 1988-91.

Trans Tag Code # L3 5 spd 1988-91.

Trans Tag Code # S20 5spd 1992-95. with 1500cc Engine.

Those are all small bearing cases.

ya it did but before i put a bid on the auction he asked me if i needed a kit with 70mm diff bearings for the 1.5 or 80mm for 1.6 and i told him 1.6. anyway i got the kit i need now and i was thinking of getting a obx lsd. is there anythning ealse i should replace

if you have the rebuild kit, replace the 1-2 shifter fork while tranny is apart.

im gonna be rebuilding my L3 tranny and installing my quaife , wanted to know what is the problem with the 1-2 shift fork? are they common to be bent or damaged

cheap *** cast alum that wear quickly or break.

I wanna try a coating on them next NEW one I get, like coating a piston skirt.
