I forgot what the FITV helps with (warm or cold idle), but Honda wouldnt put it on for nothing. I'd rather keep it if I could.

Its for cold idle environmental poop.

1. Warms up the engine quicker with higher RPMs
2. Car runs rich when cold so high idle helps burn the excess fuel
3. when car reaches normal temp all idle is handled by the IACV.
4. Idle problems are a PITA.
