simple engine question

Default simple engine question

I wanting to know if a D16Z7 is the same as a D16Y7 then is a D16Y8 the same as a D16Y7 because I to get parts but I dont know if there the same? Or where would you suggest to get pistons, camshaft,valve springs,piston rods,and crankshaft. Thanks for your help!

The Y8 is not the same as a Y7. Never heard of a Z7 you ------- ******. WTF is it? Is it VTEC? Pistons and rods are all the same. I don't know why the ---- you would be looking for an aftermarket crank, ut it should be the same. The rest is probably different.

the z7 is in the 96+ ex NOT in the US.
it is supposed to be the same as the d16y8 but i read it has 2 stage vtec.
