Mini Me Experts
I got a great deal at the yard today and pulled a complete Y8 head from a 98 including IM TB fuel rail, injectors, sensors, etc (From the block up) for 25$. Also, I have never seen an engine and head in such good condition (no evidence of overheating, I think it was factory maintained, perfect.
Anyway, I have a classmate of a friend that is a ricer and would ---- himself if he had VTEC in his CRX and is willing to pay me ~600-700 dollars to have me put in his car and change the T-belt and a quick tune with my wideband.
The only question I had is, it is worth the trouble swapping over the other stuff besides the head (IM TB) horsepower wise. If its not, Ill just take off the IM and swap in the head and I wont have to worry about wiring and coolent lines, etc.
Thanks in advance

Re:Mini Me Experts
The Y8 intake is the best OEM D series intake manifold you can use. You can always sell that seperate on Egay though.

Re:Mini Me Experts
the y8 mani woill work fine, there is no wiring change.
make sure you pull the oil control jet in the block cause the head already has one and if you dont vtec wont engage. youll need to use the a6 distributor, which will bolt right up to a y8 head. the oddball is the 92=95 d series dists. youll wanna use the y8 timing belt, and also to activate vec either use a vafc, an rpm switch or convert to obd1, which i recommend for the use of uberdata down the road if u go turbo

Re:Mini Me Experts
I think it would be easier to sell me the whole thing for $125 shipped.

assuming its a manual y8 intake manifold most everything can be used. You just need to swap the injectors from the crx in the y8 manifold and the rest will work fine.
