+2 because the interior harrnes which still would be a std(dx) and the engine harness would be an si so they cant plug together(unless you change the plugs)

 

I don't think its giving you the code 9 because you used a bigger gauge wire , Something else has to be wrong . If you can't find the problem then buy the correct size wire and re-connect . Here is a ecu error list for future ref.
